Workshop description: “Applications of neuromuscular dressing as a complementary tool in improving performance”.
Javier Merino holds a degree in Physiotherapy from the University of Castilla La Mancha (2006) and an official Master’s degree in Motor Neurocontrol from the University Rey Juan Carlos (2014). His Master’s thesis was entitled Assessing short-term impact of neuromuscular dressing on balancing and walking in Parkinson’s disease patients. He also attended a course on “Improving the educational response of students with special education needs associated with physical disability”.
He has developed most of his professional career at the Madre de la Esperanza Foundation, Talavera de la Reina, where he was first hired in 2007 as a PT for the Education Center and Daycare Unit. Later on, in 2013, he became a PT at the Center for Infant Development and Early Intervention, where he currently works.
