Marta Casbas holds a degree in Physiotherapy from the Gimbernat Community College (1991) and in Speech Therapy from the Community College for Language Pathology ‘Sant Pau’ (1997).
She has worked as a PT for the Counseling Team at the Education Service of L’Eixample, Barcelona, since 2005. She had previously practiced as a PT in Special Education in several public centers dependent from the Education Department of the Generalitat de Catalunya (Catalan Public Administration).
She has been a lecturer for the postgraduate and master’s program in Pediatric Physiotherapy for the International University of Catalonia (UIC) since 2009 and has delivered instruction for several master’s and postgraduate programs, training courses in pediatric physiotherapy on the interventions of a PT in educational contexts.
She is currently a member of the SEFIP Board and of the Committee of Pediatrics for the Chartered Institute of Physiotherapists of Catalonia. Study Group of the UB on Physical Activity and Inclusion and the Working Group of the Department of Ensenyament of the Generalitat de Catalunya on the Review of the Document and change of model of Environment-Centered Intervention and Person in The educational field.
